Press Play

I am back on my own now: writing with my own fingers, seeing the world with my own eyes, listening to things with my own ears. Just me, and only me, and I think I’ll be fine. I have changed a lot. I used to be a hopeless romantic… hell, yes. But, now? Not anymore. I think it’s about time to start being realistic about everything in life, because life is not a fairytale, it’s not even a book. Let God writes the story–I think God is much better in us in terms of everything, including writing. And God writes real things, and I have to adapt with that.

I always have a hard time of letting something be. I have these dreams, these goals, that I really want to achieve. When I know that I can achieve it, I have to achieve it, no matter what. With one person, I already had those dreams. They are gone now. I have to let them be. And don’t ask why, because I did not want this either, but I have to let it be.

Maybe you have read the story… but well, if you are curious, my life is not that beautiful, and my life is not that good. I am just a human, like you. I am trying to make a difference, I am trying to make a betterment, in myself, in my surroundings, in my world. I want to be inspired, and I want to inspire others. Which is why, I have to be seen as a strong, wonder girl. I have to be seen as an inspiring person. I want to have an impact in the society, no matter how small it is, but I want it to be a good and remarkable one.

Emotionally, yes, I have lost something–one of the things that I used to admire the most. It left… with a reason that I personally could not explain, and still can’t.

I magically believe that God has a great reason of why this is happening, and God has a cool plan for me. I will just have to sit back, relax, enjoy life… right? I am back on track already. I am living my life to the fullest… without the goggles for a while. :)

do something because you love it, not because you only want to look great doing it

I don’t know if I can be labeled as an opportunist or not by thinking this way, but sometimes I feel like there are things that I do only in order to make achievements. When I write or when I do my social activities such as holding the Indonesian Youth Conference, I did not care about anything else and I was completely committed in doing it. Why? Because those two things are my passion.

On the other hand, let’s say that I want to do A. I don’t love doing A and I will not *die* if I don’t do it, but I know that I do it well. Doing that thing, although I might be good in it (said other people), felt different with doing the things that I love to do although I might not be good in them.

My boyfriend set a good example in this case for me. He’s academically intelligent, fluent in English, and used to be a debater, but he chose to study visual arts although he’s not perfect at it. He believes that what he loves to do matters much more than what’s he good at. He believes that what makes him happy matters much more than what makes other people happy. As Bill Cosby said, “I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.”

Why Only White?

we all must be innovative in any way in order to succeed.

Perhaps you have known that to “win” in business, we must be great in at least one point. It could be in the form of cost leadership, but sometimes it is difficult to press our expenses in order to have a great outcome. So, another option would be, to be different. But, how can we be different?

A couple of weeks ago, I found a very interesting concept of a product when a white box with the word WOW on it was delivered to me. It was actually a box of Kotex Luxe! Yes, the feminine pads. What’s so innovative about a pad?

You know, all pads have been only have white as the colour. This one is entirely different! The pads came in a variety of colours:

In my opinion, it is such an interesting idea and concept. I mean, who would have thought about having a colourful, patterned pads? Some people might think that it would be useless because no one will see the colours anyway. But hey, there are underwear designers out there although only us can see our underwear! :P The designs actually reflect our personality. Which is why, Kotex has made a personality test to help us choose which design should we purchase. I went through the test here and had the Beach Babe result! Yay! This is the result:
